Scolia Scoring System
Scolia Scoring System – Automatic Scoring for Steel Darts
A Scolia Scoring System transforms a classic steel dartboard into a modern digital dart setup. Multiple cameras automatically detect where darts land on the board, while the Scolia software recognizes hits and calculates scores.
This eliminates the need for manual input after each throw. At the same time, Scolia offers much more than just automatic scoring: online matches, tournaments, training games, statistics, and heatmaps make the system a comprehensive training and gaming platform for steel darts.
At Diplomatgames, you will find Scolia Scoring Systems and suitable accessories for your digital dart setup.
How does Scolia work?
Scolia uses multiple cameras that observe the dartboard from different angles.
After each hit, the software analyzes the dart's position and automatically determines the segment hit.
A throw like:
Triple 20 + Triple 20 + Triple 20
automatically becomes:
180 points
The player does not have to calculate the score or enter it manually into an app.
The system also recognizes when darts are pulled from the board and can then automatically switch to the next player.
More than just automatic scoring
Scolia is not just an electronic score counter.
The system records the position of each individual dart. This allows for extensive statistics to be generated and throws to be analyzed in detail.
Depending on the game mode, the following functions are available, among others:
- automatic hit detection
- automatic score calculation
- local matches
- online matches
- online tournaments
- training games
- computer opponents
- extensive statistics
- heatmaps
- checkout suggestions
- long-term performance analysis
This makes Scolia suitable for both a relaxed dart evening and targeted training.
Scolia Home 2 – the current generation for home use
The Scolia Home 2 is the enhanced generation of the Scolia Home System.
The cameras are positioned around the dartboard using fixed camera legs. This creates a stable construction that does not need constant readjustment during normal play after installation.
Scolia specifies a detection accuracy of approximately 99.5% for the Home 2.
Another advantage is automatic calibration. At each startup, the system automatically calibrates the cameras within a few seconds.
This makes Scolia Home 2 particularly convenient for a permanently set up dart station.
Automatic calibration
For camera-based scoring systems, the cameras must be precisely aligned with the dartboard.
Scolia Home 2 performs this process automatically.
After switching on, the system recognizes the board's position and calibrates the cameras independently.
Extensive manual mapping of individual triple, double, and single segments is therefore usually not necessary.
Scolia Home 2 or Home 2 FLEX?
There are two different purchasing models for the Scolia Home 2.
Technically, FLEX provides the same premium hardware. The main difference lies in how usage is paid for or activated.
Scolia Home 2
With the regular Scolia Home 2, you pay a higher purchase price and can then use the system indefinitely.
