BULL'S NL - the company's history
The history of BULL'S began in 1979.
The company was founded by Adriaan "Dick" Boel.
Initially, the focus was not on manufacturing its own darts. Dick Boel started by importing and distributing dart products.
The company at the time, Microface Darts B.V., imported various dart brands.

- Unicorn
The Dutch dart market was then in a much earlier stage of development.
The first dart shops in the Netherlands
Products were initially sold primarily through the catering industry.
As this business model grew slowly, the company decided to open its own brick-and-mortar dart shop.
The first House of Darts was established on Edisonstraat in The Hague.
The store was managed by Dick's younger brother, Bert Boel.
More stores followed later.

BULL'S Darts founded in 1984
Dick Boel and his brother Joop eventually realized that simply distributing other brands limited growth.
Therefore, at the end of 1984, their own brand, BULL'S Darts, was launched.
The brand name has two references.
On the one hand, BULL'S is reminiscent of the family name Boel.
On the other hand, the name is, of course, a nod to the Bullseye, the center of a dartboard.
The well-known bull logo also originated at this time.
This marked the shift from an import and trading company to an independent dart manufacturer.
Growth and international expansion
With the support of Jan Boel, the wholesale business was further expanded.
In 1989, the company moved to new premises on Industriestraat in Naaldwijk.
In the same year, due to international growth, Embassy Sporthandel GmbH was founded in Germany.
Joop Boel served as co-managing director and shareholder there until 1995.
After the subsequent sale of shares, the Dutch and German companies increasingly developed independently of each other.
Business relations continued until 2010.
The next generation
In 2002, Dick Boel handed over the company to his daughter Sandy Boel and Xander Zwinkels.
Thus, the long company history was continued by a new generation.
In 2021, after many years in Naaldwijk, the company moved to larger premises in 's-Gravenzande.
BULL'S NL remains strongly rooted in the Dutch Westland region to this day.
